Hello!  Welcome to the course webpage for GLE.  I encourage you to take advantage of this excellent resource, as I will post assigned work, important dates and other information pertaining to the course.

ANNOUNCEMENTS  

  • Please get your Course Information Sheet signed and returned by Friday, February 6th.
  • Please get your Student and Parent Information Sheet signed and returned by Friday, February 6th.
  • Don't forget to register for Remind.
  • Please find a book for silent reading on Tuesdays.
  • Progress reports will be sent home on Tuesday, March 3rd.  Parent-teacher interviews are on Wednesday, March 4th.

COURSE WORK

Bellwork
Every class begins with bellwork, a worksheet with questions to develop basic numeracy skills.  Bellwork will include topics such as counting money, working with per cents, calculating earnings, measures of central tendancy, budgeting, operations with fractions, estimation, measurement, etc.

Final Summative Evaluations
Instructions for the FSE were distributed on Monday, May 25th.  Students will be given 12 periods of class time to work on this FSE.  During this time students should also begin preparing for their other final exams.  Presentations will begin on Wednesday, June 10th.
